29 May 2017 - Strauss buys 15% more of China water joint venture. Strauss paid its partner Haier Group NIS 78 million to increase its stake in Qingdao HSW Health Water to 49%. Full article

28 May 2017 - Chinese research institute invests in Zion Medical. Pharmaceutical company Zion Medical has signed an MOU with Chinese company Shenzen International Institute of Biological Research. According to the deal, the Chinese company will invest in Zion Medical, and will receive the rights to manufacture and market the product in China. The deal amount remains undisclosed. Full article

26 May 2017 - Israel’s Netafim draws interest from private equity, Chinese bidders: Reuters. Private equity funds CVC and Bain Capital and Chinese investment funds Fosun International and Primavera Capital were named by sources as possible bidders for Israeli irrigation firm Netafim, which could fetch around $1.5 billion within the next few weeks. 24 May 2017 - Monitoring Co EarlySense enters Chinese market. The company, which develops and markets systems for non-obtrusive monitoring of the medical state of patients using a device placed under the patient's mattress, has announced a cooperative venture with Chinese company Laxis. 22 May 2017 - Israeli companies explore listing options in Hong Kong, says PwC. Israeli technology and health care companies are eyeing stock market listings in Hong Kong in a bid to establish closer ties with Chinese investors and customers. Full article

15 May 2017 - China-Backed Fund Raises $500 Million for U.S., Europe and Israel Startups. Of the $500 million raised by Silk Ventures, half comes from SASAC, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, which supervises and regulates state-owned enterprises in China. Silk will announce its first investments in July. Full article

24 April 2017 - Israel’s Jaffa Mandarin Oranges Look To Squeeze Into China. Following the substantial harvest growth of Israel’s easy-to-peel mandarin orange known as the Jaffa Orri, Israel’s Plant Production and Marketing Board identified the China market as the its target for export growth in 2017.
