China-Israel Deals Weekly Newsletter

2 May 2018

Hi everyone,

Hello from the future. We’re there. We made it! We live here, in the future. From crypto/blockchain phones to semi-autonomous EVs to technology building and training other technology, I can’t help but get just a tiny bit existential.

In the news: We reported about a week or two ago about Sirin Labs partnering with a Foxconn sub to produce the first blockchain mobile phone. Turns out that wasn’t just talk. Japan, the US, the UK, South Korea and Vietnam will see about 100,000 of these things called ∫ in around October. I guess I better get to learning blockchain.

Qoros is also here with us in the future. Newly launched EV model MILE1 is equipped with 5G and semi-autonomous driving characteristics. In another piece of news, AI is building and training other technology. Allegro.AI closed out a pretty good round fresh out of stealth mode.

Some things don’t change though, even here in the future. The Chinese government has released a tax guide for Chinese residents investing in Israel. Now THAT is something I can get behind!

Also Jack Ma is in Israel floating in the Dead Sea, cooking Israeli cuisine and learning about Jewish traditions. He's probably doing a little bit of business stuff too. Work-life balance, people. That's what it's all about.

See more news in the digest below.

Don't forget: GoForIsrael is at it again with their 19th conference taking place on May 31st in Foshan. My friends over there are giving China Deals InfoBase readers a 50% discount (!) when you register with code CHINA5004MP. See you there!

Enjoy the newsletter, and as always give me a shout with thoughts and questions, or just to say hello.

-Laura
